This is not at all RPG-related.
I have been drawn into the most bizarre youtube series ever, called Marble Hornets. I don't know how to describe it, other than that it's not very creepy until you're alone in your room, trying to sleep, and trying not to freak out that a faceless, silent thing is watching you through your windows, or is in your room standing over you.
Start from the introduction. It takes a few entries to get really creepy, but when it does, it'll lurk in the back of your head every time you're alone.
Scary stuff.

Sometimes it pretends to be a game about stories, or adventures, but it isn’t. It’s a game about what you have- hit points, weapons, armor,...

First, real quick: I'm not talking about the increase of hit points by edition. I actually like that the starting pool is bigger in, say...
Yeah, this is looking awesome already.
ReplyDeleteOne of my favorite sites for stuff like this is:

If you have never been to it it offers these strange interactive art films. 'Floppy' was my first favorite and 'The Flat' is one of the creepiest things I have ever seen.
Also if you like horror you should check out Fewdio. They have a page at Youtube (I hope they still do) and their short films are excellent.
Thanks for the heads up. I was looking for something to watch and bored with all my selections this evening. Now I'm set :)
Crap! #18 almost made me piss myself.
ReplyDeleteI'm on 21...this is rockin'!
ReplyDeleteF*** 'Paranormal Activity'...this is the real deal :)
So I guess this thing has found some traction:

Thanks again...this made up for a crappy day :)
Hey, you're welcome guys. :)
ReplyDeleteAnd yeah, when I first saw that guy in #18 I seriously jumped straight out of my chair.
Just something about a silent, lurking, faceless guy is naturally horrifying. Right before I go to sleep, sometimes I see movement out of the corner of my eye and if it wasn't for the fact that my cat sleeps on my bed (and that's she's a big pansy and would run away at the first movement that wasn't me) then I'm not sure I would be getting much sleep. :)
You can also check out Everyman HYBRID. I haven't watched it but people mention it when Marble Hornets comes up and it's supposed to be pretty good.
